LAPP (Light Art Performance Photography)

‘LAPP’ or ‘light art performance photography’ is a group of artists who create images by playing with light in between the flash and shutter of a camera and some of the results can be breathtaking.
These images are relative to my project because just like the use of technology in today’s storage solutions, these artists use modern technology to create their artwork.
Light creates movement

Bright on dark background

Uneven composition gives informal
feel

Circular shapes look unnatural

Taken at dusk which gives the photograph poor lighting, this lighting emphasises the artificial light
Clouds create motion
All images taken at night or in dark places this helps make the synthetic light appear brighter

Wires used to create line on floor
Different thickness of lines draws concentration around image
