Illustration

To create this image I took inspiration from Jonathan Allardyce.
I liked his use of flat colours and a variety of line thicknesses
Central composition and level vantage point are classic for a portrait image
No background to draw attention away from foreground
To make my illustration unique I decided to do a self portrait rather than a celebrity

I wanted to get a dark moody feel across with this piece, with extremely high contrasting tones
The black background helps with the underlying mood of the image
Portraying shiny electrical equipment in a black and gray sketchy way is contrary to how we perceive these objects, this is the reason I chose to have a grainy look over the whole iPod

I took inspiration from Amy Reid to create this image, her use of grainy strokes and moody colours were relative to what i was trying to display
